Why did you choose too become the class you are currently playing with?
I love casters and i believe mages are the most fun casters, eversince i became fire i love the damge it does.

What are the biggest advantages you have within this class and what is your role in a raid? Specify this to your spec.
I am a fire dps, in Gruul i was often mage tank. Well advantages have to b sheep, iceblock lots of firepower and ofc invisibility.

I have 170 spell hit which should mean t's capped so enemies can't resist my spells, well maybe a 1% chance i think.

undergeared unexperienced.
wrong spec as fire mage its either 3/47/11 or 0/40/21.
wrong gems u have 170hit and still gem for hit no no. aim for socket bonus and spelldmg + crit / spelldmg + stam r your best friends.
need to re-enchant both your wrist n gloves with spelldmg.

Oh, and as you've got a really nice amount of crit already, for hitgems you replace, you may want to consider haste+spelldamage gems. Haste gives a nice, fixed dps increase.

(I'm curious though, Doggie, where you'd put that 3rd talentpoint in arcane tree?)

you dont want to spend haste gems at the lvl of gear as a few haste gems make hardly a difference you need to have access to some haste items aswell if you going to stack haste gems.
unless you dont have a fine amount of haste dont bother spelldmg/crit will always outweigh it till then.

and its 2/48/11 mis typed it and you put it in arcane focus cause it reduces a mobs resistance which can be usefull for whatever boss/mob that has resistance against fire w/e.
it is amongst mages the best build there is which can be arguable with 0/40/21
