| This is an application in response to Ronan's post on the official forums encouraging casual tanks to apply for non-endgame raiding to help ease the stress on raid tanks.
Name: Balah Age: 31 Class: Warrior. Gnome to get EA for PvP. Hated getting kited on my old orc warrior. Lvl: 70 Armoury link: Think I am in pvp gear currently. Updating after work tonight. In short my tanking gear is blue blue blue Spec: Protection
Professions: Alch/herb Why you chose these professions: Got a lvl 70 holy priest that is tailor/enchanter. Further one of the advantages of warrior tanks compared to druids is the ability to use potions in combat. To utilizie that advantage the above professtions seemed like a good choice. +Non of my RL friends on this server are alch/herb.
Raid experiance: Shortly after the release of the BC I raided heavily on a horde pvp server as warlock. Last spring before Vash etc was eased up in patches I was part of working my way through Gruul's lair, Magtheridon, SSC and TK. By "working through" I meen practicing encounters from first try to completion and spending several nights in a row wiping on new content. I played in a good guild back then where people were not interested in farming safe encounters but prefered pushing new content.
Before BC I raided up to the Four Horsemen in Naxx as a hunter and tanked as a warrior up to Chrom in BWL.
Why you want to join Eternals: After completing my university degree and starting work full time I decided to stop playing last sommer so I sold my account. During winter I rerolled on this server where some RL friends play. This is my first time as alliance and on PvE realm. I have a holy priest and a warrior.
Then I saw Ronan's post asking for tanks for doing heroics/kara/ZA. A spot that would suit me well as I cannot commit to raiding 5 days a week currently (of course I dont have the gear to apply for a raid spot either).
It seemed like a grand opportunity as I miss playing with raid oriented people doing fast efficient runs instead of pugging. It can really bug the hell out of me doing pugs where people go afk or leave mid instance etc thinking their time is more important than the four other people's that are standing around waiting doing nothing. When meeting such players I often think I am too old for this game...
Also I liked the relaxed and fun atmosphere hinted by Ronan's post. Even though I like efficient runs the most important thing for me is a friendly relaxed environment. I dont mind wiping because of mistakes if people are doing their best and are open to constructive criticism. Personally I also enjoy getting advice and comments to improve as long as it is done with a non-demeaning manor.
A little about yourself: Well I am a 31 year old guy from Denmark. I have studied history/political science and currently work as a principal with the local authorities. I do a lot of sports including rowing and running, so I can't promise to be online every evening.
A last comment... I know my gear is sub par and I have only done tree heroics on this character by now. Dont invite me because of gear (the role as casual tank doesn't require much though) but do it get a serious and experienced player for your casual content. |

| Nice apply
I think it will be nice too have a casual tank in the guild. But do bare in mind that we raid 5 nights a week and there won't be many Kara/ZA run before 23:30 Server time but there are always some people in for a heroic or instance. We do get some in the weekend tho.
Good Luck on your apply and cya ingame some day | |

| Armory link should be updated with tanking gear now...
Hmm thanks for the reminder Korgan. To keep things straight I guess I should mention that I will not be able to do 10-mans etc on weekdays after your normal raids. I have to get up around 7 o'clock in the morning so I prefer going to bed around 00.00-01.00 o'clock at the latest. If all your heroics, 10 mans, Gruuls and magtheridon's are done late hours starting after 23.30 I might not be the right choice.
On the other hand it will allow me some free evenings to spec for MS for PVP. Want to get started in arenas asap.
Weekends I am free of course unless there is a party or similar.
Hope you do not imterpret this as me backing down. Just wanna play fair from the beginning so you know what you are getting.
I will poke you ingame Rigsby. Hopefully I should be online tonight. |
