| Name: Poisonprince Age: 15 (Mature Though ) Class: Warlock Lvl: 70 Armoury link: Spec: 44/0/17 Professions: 375 Tailoring/375 Enchanting Why you chose these professions: Was told these were good for me, did not know how much they would cost though ^^ Raid experiance: ZA 4/6, Full Kara, Gruul Full, Maggy Attempts down to 3%, 1/4 TK, 1/6 SSC Why you want to join Eternals: I know lots of people in eternals, I think I would be a good addition to the guild A little about yourself: I am a part time actor, Extras and all of that, doesn't take up much time as I havent had many auditions these past few weeks. I do talk a bit more than I should, but thats rare, sometimes I can be really quiet. |

| He m8, I think that ur gearlvl is a bit to low atm for the lvl we are raiding with Eternals, ofcourse we cant exspect that someone that wants to join the on the same lvl is but with badgegear u could come very close. we also have 3 very active locks atm and 1 half active one, wich should be enough for the moment. ur spec seems good for affliction, but i would change 2 points in the affliction tree: take 2 points out of fel concentration and put them into improved curse of weakness. that would be better if u look at the best intrest of the raid cause a lot of bosses hit like a truck. for the stats u have: to much hit wich u could replace by: Haste or bonus dmg also loose that crittgem a officer will come back on this. kind regards, Casstor |

| Casstor, given the fact we are after another affliction lock for the upcomming patch, how viable would it be to "train" poisonprince, I sometimes think moulding someone can be better than grabbing someone who has already raided high. I will leave the final decision to casstor (he is class leader) but I am keen for a new affliction lock and I do like a project.
So casstor, what do you think? also maybe posion you could say what days and times you can raid also.

| To poisonprince: Good luck with your application (btw, I really suggest getting 2/2 Grim Reach and 3/5 Fel Concentration for raiding, you'd be surprised how much of a difference this can make on certain bosses ) Reaction to Casstor: The bosses that hit like a truck should have improved demo shout + thunderclap on them, warlocks really shouldn't be using weakness at all in a raid environment, especially not affliction warlocks because they have malediction (we have loads of arcane/shadow dmg being done). For affliction locks roughly 40% of your damage will (should) come from shadowbolts which don't benefit from any +hit talents, so having high hit is important even in this spec. And you can't really expect to get a totem of wrath (+3% hit). Haste is almost useless for affliction, it doesn't make dots tick faster. To Rigsby: I don't think affliction is a viable raid spec (I wish it was ) at our level, all the items that drop have crit (MH/BT) or haste (SWP) which is put to better use while in destro spec. And then there is the 4p T6 bonus (6% to shadowbolt/incinerate) which forces people to go destro basically. Just look at how few drops our spriests need (and I bet that the majority of items they do want is haste/dmg items). I doubt malediction (and shadow embrace) make up for the loss in personal DPS. Does anyone feel like calculating how much dps malediction will add to raid dps after the next patch (CoS + CoE = 1 curse).

Depends on the amount of physical dps done. Regarding malediction: even if you have 10 people (a lot!) with 1800 dps average (a lot!) that benefit from the 3% increase in damage you'd have a raiddps increase of 1800*10*.03=540. At this gear level a destro lock can quite easily do 540 dps extra compared to affliction (especially when not threatcapped = brutallus). Even raid/group buffs benefit destro more (haste drums, boomkin, retpally, totems). Dropping unstable affliction and getting Ruin is possibly better considering the amount of crit an affliction lock will have, but even then it would be hard to make up for the dps loss from not having demonic sacrifice and the high tier destro talents. | |

| I plan to get badge gear that would improve my dps and dmg, i'm currently resocketing and getting my shadoweave robes as well, sorry if I have logged out in pvp gear as well lol lol yes under I did manage to get a better computer, runs smooth even in hyjal! I can typically raid about 3-4 days a week, but not sundays. I can change my talents as suited to the raid, As for the Grim Reach 2/2 and 3/5 Fel Conc. I was planning to do that one anyway as I have to keep running in and out due to the fact that I can shadowbolt further than I can for my curses. I am planning to get ruin if that were to improve my dps, UA isn't really helping much at the moment anyway. ^^ Sorry I have not read up for this thread as I have been preoccupied Will try to keep up with you all |
