with hunter, agro isnt a problem, hunters can dps very fast, very mana effient with steady shot & aspect of viper

Aspect of the Viper is your worst enemy and every measure must be taken to avoid having to resort to it.
What would you do to stay out of it, what debuffs on the boss, what groupset up would you want, in order to avoid it?
If you are forced into it, what would you do to minimise the time you spend in it?

Your spec on the armory dosent seem right for pve, its much more pvp orientated, could you elaborate on your pve spec?

And also could you explain the shot rotation you do to maximise damage?
Do you use any form of addon to help? Do you use a macro or do it manually?

(Sorry for the hundreds of questions, just with your level of experience I need to know im talking to soemone whos worth the time to gear up )

ok the spec im in now was just an experimental for PVP

my main pve spec is BM 41/20, the shot rotation is steady shot auto shot, scorpid sting on boss to reduce chance to hit, kill command

I'd like to be with sp or shaman that way i wouldnt have to resort to it, also with all my consumables and buffs from raid i should have spirit high enough to not resort to it, i normally resort to it when we're lacking DPS and fights are dragged out until everyones mana poool is almost done. aspect of the hawk will be used if not oom

As youll almost always be classed as 'casting' the spirit wont help you much ^^
Some points you were missing though, Paladins can judge wisdom onto the boss, givign you 72 mana back on hit, always insist on this, its essential.

Can you tihnk of any way of gaining more mana back while in viper, so that you can get back into hawk faster? Read the tooltip and think :p

Could you just clarify if you use any macro/addon to help with dps?


And finally, the guild is up to Brutallus in Sunwell at the moment. This fight is a dps race, the BM hunters needing to pack about 2000 dps, what gear would you think ideal for this? And can you list the exact consumables you'd use on him

viper works better when on low mana, potting is always good

this addon is all i use when dpsing, i got in on my mouse scroll, it uses steadshot/autoshot(without capping the auto shot) and kill command

Q1. The mana returned from viper is a percentage of total intelect. While in viper have 2 weapons handy both enchanted with +30 int, and with sockets with int gems in, this way the mana return is much faster.Once you switch back to hawk, go back to your normal dps weapons.

Q2. Good maco, cast sequences work well

Q3. Elixer of Demonslaying was the top mark answer :p its more AP than a flask and Brutallus is a demon
Also missing Weapon oil/coating, pet buff food (kibblers bits) and scroll of agility :p

Get back to me on what armor pieces you think you'd need. So far its looking good though

But are we really gonna bother trying to gear up this hunter. I mean all the answer he has given so far can be googled, and are not fully right even or complete answers.

I have a hunter myself as you know Ronan. And indeed he gives answers that are true in some way but he also leaves out a lot of things.

Things that are not easaly to think about, but still can be googled even or just found on boss tactics or hunter forums, if you are willing to show in effort for your apply, take time in giving an answer think it true and then go for it. Not instanly post hoping you will get in.

BTW trinket of MgT heroic...... <buzzer> Wrong answer, Expertise is not needed for hunters the proc will happen but you are better of with hour glass which imo is easier to farm and getting the badges one for now, hell even the one from mechanar is oke.

Btw gear wise he goes tier 6 is what i want. and the names 4 pieces including the bracers. I mean hello we killed this boss ones, work with a DKP system where he has to pay endlessly to get geared and of all item he names the bracers.

While my frustration are building up, i will give you the answer.
It should be Head, Chest, Gloves, Shoulders. Which other shoulder would he have for now. Pants i would take aswell incase an items drops which is better than that specific Tier 6 item (head illidan). Then he doesn't name his non set gear.
Which should be leggings of Azgalor - Neck of Suprumus - Cloak of Teron Gorefiend or haste one from Zul'Aman - Bracers of Rage winterchill - badges Ring- Black Temple Thrash drop - Boots pray you get the ones from Teron. Trinkets should be Badges one then - ZA one - After a shitload of farmnight BT one - DST - Leo trinket.

further more you do not state your crit % in your apply, your Hit or other stats. In my eyes you do not look like the person we will be needing for our current raids.

TBH i am alrdy in this guild on my shaman and further more i don't want the spot for my hunter as i still have to much fun on my shaman. But if i would have made the same apply i do know who Ronan would have picked (Ronan don't fuck me just by saying "yeah it would have been Martin".

But i do know the fact my ALT hunter is better geared and played than your main char. Also the raid would prolly benefit more from me as i actualy seen al the instances/bosses up untill the first boss in Black Temple so i won't die of the first attack of the boss.


Maybe a Kara guild is looking for a hunter, to upgrade his pvp gear to at least some knowledge of PVE gear.
