General questions

Previous guilds and reasons for leaving? The guild iam in now is Beerform
Want to raid in biger raid and have the change to get to se and play it befor the next exp, we have ppl that logs on late and are not always ready for rid(that i meen not potion food buffs and so on) And they are using to long to fix the groups and alot of tme go wasted on that so have maby 4-5 tryes on bosses before ppl need to go agein :-(

Why did you choose too become the class you are currently playing with? When i started playing this game i tok a lock becous when i read about it it sounded cool to have youre own summond pet and have spells to cast :-)

What are the biggest advantages you have within this class and what is your role in a raid? Specify this to your spec.
Iam 1 of the topp 5 dps in this guild, and i do what a lock do give ss and Hs to the raid.

Iam hit caped but my crit is abit low :-( But are trying to get it up by changing armor when i have the luck whit me in raids :-) Have hade my bad luck and lost on rolls and dkp bids when in raid:-( I have started to coleckt haste gears and have the total of 139 haste when i have the haste gear on. I think i still have alot to learn in the lock way, but iam readin about it all over and are doing my best to learning about it. I have goten all the boj rewards for my class sinc i hade my bad luck in raids :-( I am geting a new dagger soon becous my suck bigg time but ass i say still hade my bad luck in raids losing to other players and dont get the loot i want to dropp hehe

Not really doggie, you look to get around 20% crit then start stacking other stats. Hes only slightly off it and that could change with a couple of things just at a quick glance. So although isn't top geared, I know for a fact destro locks can get a good set of stats without even stepping in to a raid. Looking at his gear, he's getting the right stats. So perhaps go troll someone else's application? Failing that, maybe sign up to a raid? he he

Have been playing around whit my stones now and goten my spell crit unbuffed up to 20.77 but my unbuffed spell dmg went dow a litel bit do to 1011. and my hit to under cap but working on it and tryed za agein and not the hood or dagger droped for me :-( But i still trye. Maby going in mh whit lost this weekend to maby get a dropp frome there but i trye all the things i can sins the guild iam it atm dont do mh / bt :-( hehe

Dont listen to these chumps about the crit

hit > spell damage > haste > crit

your crit is fine, as it is the least dps increasing stat going, however the other 3 are far superior, and low

all of your gear is either crafted or from badges, which isnt neccesarily a bad thing but, as were now in SWP i really dont fancy farming an entire gear set for yet another person

Hit isn't even to be mentioned. It's not something you try and get, it's what you get before you look for other stats. Haste also isn't really to be mentioned at his level as his access to haste stuff is really limited. There isn't much point in having 30 haste and then ur other stats lower. If I didn't know better I would think you were talking about affliction locks here o.O

I went to Spell hit as my first port of call on Gnomo. After that I went to get 20% crit. Now I'm stacking spell damage and what ever haste gear there is about, but lets be fair, there isn't much outside of ZA and higher raids, so even my haste is only about 70. The way you write it Dave could end up with locks with 202 hit, 1200 SD, 70 haste and 10% crit o.O

There are some rough numbers to aim for on your stats, but unless you have bundles of access to haste gear then you should go; Crit (to around 20%) > Spell damage (to around 1100/1200 with fel armour) > Haste (as much as you have access to) > Crit/haste/SD (as appropriate). I mention crit as around 20% and the reason for this is improved shadowbolt, which is 20% extra damage from shadow spells, untill the charges run out. Also the 20% mark is something you should be near anyway, the itemisation for gear that is good for you has enough of this, none of you gems will be crit, they will be hit/SD anyways.

It doesn't have to be a long time line and you can get the first few steps done pretty easy simultaneously. But this is just my views on it. I'm not saying Dave is wrong, just going about things in a different way to what I did.

The only thing that is bugging me big time in this game is that i have been to nice to ppl, and that i have hade my shere of realy bad luck on Dkp bids or rolls or even when i have epgp i looses big time some time :-( At at the point in game now i dont get anywhere becous of the gilds i find dont have the man power or is aiming the same way as me :-( The ppl istent 100% ready for raids and by just joining the raid for 1-2 h then we looses time to get more ppl / replasments and then they maby we goten like 2-3 tryes on boss before respawn and before ewewn more ppl must go :-(

I mentioned hit because the applicant said he had jiggled around gems to get more crit, and as the trade off he went under-hit-cap, which is clearly a negative impact on his dps overal and not really a good indication of self-knowledge

Crit does indeed provide a negligibly longer uptime on the ISB debuff, however it is proven time and time again that spell damage is just simply superior, and with the introduction of haste, that is too.

Gemming or building yourself around an imaginary 'essential' amount of crit is folly, the result, which has been proven time and time again, is spelldamage>haste>crit

To sum up, what i tried to say the first time around, if youre only just hitting that '20% crit cap' you like, but go under hitcap as a result, and you have 0 haste, and your spelldamage is realisticly just too low, are you suitable for SWP or even MH/BT?

It sounds stupid on paper, i know, but i ran the numbers to highlight that that is actually a higher dps geared warlock.
1200spdmg 70 haste and 10% crit at hit cap is roughly 90 dps more than 1000spdmg 0 haste and 20% crit.
1200spdmg 0 haste and 10% crit at hit cap is roughly 25 dps more than 1000spdmg 0haste and 20% crit
So even at the extreme example of loosing a massive 10% crit for the extra spell damage (which just isnt possible to happen with gear availble) spelldamage wins out

Thats all I was explaining myself on. And that in it's self was a defence to doggie saying his crit was too low, when I believed it not to be.

But i learn fast i love this game alot.

Have been working hard to get a new dagger now that made me alot bether than the old bugger i have been wearing around hehe. I know its not a pve dagger but it made me bether and i goten the hit on it and mor bd. So now i goten 1201 bd and hit 206 and haste 124 :-) and my sbd 1255 whit [Fel Armor]..

And i say it agein Gz to all on nice work on SunW :-)
